SEAN SCOTT GRIFFIN - Author/Screenwriter/Producer

Sean Scott Griffin is a multi-disciplined writer and movie producer with two decades of experience spanning production, development, distribution and screenwriting. This combined expertise makes him somewhat unique in the film industry. Since 2005, he has built a reputation as a versatile and steadfast operator in the UK film and television landscape.

Beginning his career as a floor runner and production assistant, Sean gained valuable experience working on productions by many visionary filmmakers, including Richard Curtis, Martin Campbell, and Wes Anderson. He further developed his craft as the producer's assistant to industry titans Adam Bohling and David Reid on 'Kick-Ass 2', where he gained invaluable insights into commercial filmmaking at the highest level.

Along with "Adam and Dave", Sean went on to co-produce Bruce Parry's ambitious £2.2 million feature documentary 'Tawai – A Voice from the Forest', shot across eight countries over five years. He personally spearheaded its theatrical release into 120 UK cinemas, demonstrating his comprehensive understanding of the full filmmaking lifecycle from concept to audience.

Sean moved into development in 2021. As a story consultant and screenplay analyst, Sean has provided expert script development on projects from a wide range of screenwriters -- from first-time writers to award-winning playwrights and established Hollywood talent. All genres, all budget ranges, all the weird stuff, all the good (and bad) stuff and everything in between.

Through his work with Save The Cat!, the BFI, and numerous top industry executives, his insights have shaped projects featuring stars like Olivia Colman and Sir Ian McKellen. Having analysed over 2,000 screenplays and TV scripts throughout his career, Sean brings exceptional depth to his understanding of narrative structure, character development, and genre conventions. This has naturally led to him developing and packaging his own unique concepts with audience appeal, many of which are at pitch, packaging and finance stage.

In 2023, Sean launched REBEL YEAH!, to develop a slate of bold, socially conscious genre films. His projects have earned him invitations to pitch at prestigious industry events around the world, including Berlinale, Birmingham Film & TV Market and American Film Market (AFM).

In 2025, Sean rewrote a draft for 'Sumotherhood 2' from cover to cover in just 4 days (with only 21 days till production commenced). He works fast, but does not compromise on quality.

Sean has numerous screenplays of his own at pitch stage, and in the summer of 2025 his debut novel DON'T LOOK BACK, a nostalgic 90s story centered on Britpop and family bonds is released in all good book stores. He brings the same narrative expertise, cultural awareness, and creative boldness to his screenwriting and novels that has defined his endeavours across all facets of the film industry.
